    25 teams, 11 states: Every team, every game at Washington's Tournament of Champions

    The city of Washington has played host to some of the nation's top high school basketball for nearly two decades at its Tournament of Champions.

    The teams and schedule for the 2024 edition of the annual event were recently released, with 25 teams from 11 states scheduled to take part — including for the first time a girls game between Washington and defending IHSA Class 2A state champion Notre Dame.

    Here is the field, top players, what to know and complete schedule for the 19th annual Kevin Brown Memorial Tournament of Champions . This event run from Tuesday, Nov. 26 to Saturday, Nov. 30 at Washington Community High School outside Peoria.

    DeKalb

    • Top players: Sr. G Sean Reynolds, Jr. F Davon Grant
    • What to know: The Barbs have their two leading scorers back in the mix led by Reynolds (16 points per game) and Grant (15 ppg, 7 rebounds per game).

    Metamora

    • Top players: Sr. G Matthew Zobrist (Bradley) , Sr. G Ashton Grieves
    • What to know: The 2023 Class 3A state champions, under first-year coach Justin Dehm , are back at the ToC for the fourth time and are coming off a 30-win season.

    Romeoville

    • Top players: Sr. G Damion Porter, Soph. G Jamarri Fears
    • What to know: Fears is the youngest brother of Jeremy Fears (Michigan State) and Jeremiah Fears (Oklahoma) and is one of three transfers.

    St. Francis Episcopal (Houston, Texas)

    • Top players: Sr. F Nigel Walls , Sr. F O'Marion Harvey, Sr. G John LaBoy
    • What to know: The Wolves were the 2024 Texas Class 4A state champions, welcoming back one of the nation's top player in Walls, who has interest from Alabama, Arkansas and Texas.

    St. John Bosco (Bellflower, California)

    • Top players: Jr. F Brandon McCoy , Sr. F Elzie Harrington
    • What to know: McCoy, who averaged 19 points and 8 rebounds per game last season, is considered the top player in the class of 2026, holding offers from UCLA, Arizona and Arkansas for the reigning California Division II state champs.

    The Paideia School (Atlanta, Georgia)

    • Top players: Jr. G CJ Harper, Soph. G Tristan Mitchell, Jr. G David Oglesby-Smith
    • What to know: Four starters come back for the Pythons, who have three players back who averaged at least double-digits — Harper (22 ppg), Oglesby-Smith (14 ppg) and Mitchell (11 ppg).

    Washington

    • Top players: Sr. G CJ Duncan , Sr. G Andrew Lewis
    • What to know: The host Panthers will have three starters back when they welcome a deep and talented 25-team field to Torry Gymnasium.

    Wilson (Florence, South Carolina)

    • Top players: Soph. F Joshua Leonard, Sr. F Tristan Thompson
    • What to know: The Tigers , who were the 2024 South Carolina AAAA Division state runner-up, get back their top two scorers in Thompson (18 ppg) and Leonard (15 ppg, 9 rpg).

    Gibbs (St. Petersburg, Florida)

    • Top players: Sr. C Isaiah Medina (DePaul), Soph. G O'Neal DeLancy
    • What to know: The Gladiators were the 2024 Florida Class 4A state champions and have the luxury of bringing all five starters from last season's title team.

    La Mirada (California)

    • Top players: Soph. G Gene Roebuck , Sr. G MJ Smith
    • What to know: Roebuck is a Division-I talent, ranking as a top prospect in the class of 2027 and having already picking up scholarship offers from UCLA and USC.

    Morton

    • Top players: Sr. F Wes Gudeman, Sr. F Cal Boeker, Sr. G Tripp Rugaard
    • What to know: The Potters were a 28-win team last season and could be one of the Peoria area's best teams for this upcoming season.

    Vashon (St. Louis, Missouri)

    • Top players: Sr. G Dehrio McCaskill (Southern Illinois-Edwardsville), Sr. G Trey Williams
    • What to know: Vashon, which was the 2024 Missouri Class 4A state champion, will be debuting a new coach in Jimmy McKinney, who has four starters back.

    Cumberland (Wisconsin)

    • Top players: Sr. G Gavin Gores (Wyoming)
    • What to know: Gores is a double-double machine, averaging 30 ppg and 13 rpg last season highlighted by a 51-point and 19-rebound performance.

    Piasa Southwestern

    • Top players: Sr. F Ian Brantley, Sr. G Ryan Lowis
    • What to know: Brantley was an all-state performer last season, putting up 23 points and 11 rebounds per game.

    John Burroughs (St. Louis, Missouri)

    • Top players: Jr. F Tristan Reed, Jr. F Sheek Pearson
    • What to know: The Bombers made a run to the 2024 Missouri Class 4A state title, finishing as runner-ups behind Reed (17 ppg, 9 rpg) and Pearson (13 pgg, 7 rpg).

    Crispus Attucks (Indianapolis, Indiana)

    • Top players: Sr. F Melakih Cunningham (Missouri State), Sr. C Dezmon Briscoe
    • What to know: Five big-time talents are around for the Tigers, who boast Cunningham (13 ppg, 7 rpg), Briscoe (14 ppg, 11 rpg), Lamar Jones (9 ppg, 13 rpg) and Chris Hunt (10 ppg, 4 apg).

    Lisle Benet Academy

    • Top players: Sr. F Daniel Paulilukonis, Jr. C Colin Stack
    • What to know: Paulilukonis and Stack maybe the biggest frontcourt in the country, measuring in at a 6-foot-9 and 7-foot, respectively.

    West Side (Gary, Indiana)

    • Top players: Jr. PG Trey Hinton, Sr. Derek Collins, Jr. F Tyler Crews
    • What to know: Hinton is a dynamic point guard and among the top players in Indiana in the Class of 2026. Collins hold Division-I offers, while the 6-foot-10 Crews also is receiving D-I attention.

    Washington girls

    • Top players: Jr. G Avery Tibbs, Sr. F Danielle Guedet, Jr. G Mazzy O'Brien
    • What to know: The Panthers are making their first appearance at the TOC led by the first female head coach, Kim Barth, in TOC history.

    Peoria Notre Dame girls

    • Top players: Jr. F Lexi Baer, Sr. G/F Kaitlin Cassidy (Southern Illinois-Edwardsville), Soph. G Emy Wardle
    • What to know: The Irish are the reigning Class 2A state champions with Baer and Wardle both getting strong Division-I interest including scholarship offers from DePaul.

    Peoria Christian

    • T op players: Sr. G Malachi Persinger, Sr. Gavin Walder
    • What to know: Three of the four Chargers returning starters averaged at least 10 points per game last season paced by Persinger's 21 points along with Walder (14 ppg) and Trae Brickner (10 ppg).

    Archbishop Hannan (Covington, Louisiana)

    • Top players: Sr. G Drew Timmons (Navy), Sr. G AJ Thompson, Fr. G Jay Dantzler
    • What to know: Timmons, who averaged 32 points a game as a sophomore, put up 29 ppg a game last season and has 3,000 career points.

    Juneau (Milwaukee, Wisconsin)

    • Top players: Soph. F Dooney Johnson, Jr. Takis Tyler
    • What to know: The Pioneers, who will return all five starters, were the highest-scoring team in Wisconsin last season paced by Johnson's 25 points and 10 rebounds a game.

    Renaissance (Detroit, Michigan)

    • Top players: Sr. G Lance Stone (Detroit-Mercy), Jr. G Jordan Sigmon
    • What to know: Sigmon is the Phoenix's returning leading scorer, having scored 18 ppg last season and is receiving interest from Michigan State, LSU and Alabama.

    St. Mary's South Side Catholic (St. Louis, Missouri)

    • Top players: Sr. G Zyree Collins
    • What to know: Collins, the 2024 Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year, has been getting mid-major looks following a season where he averaged 31.5 ppg and 7 rpg.
