Get Ready–A Big Change is Coming to Costco Stores in Texas
Heads up, Costco members all over Texas--big change coming to Costco warehouse stores. (Have they built one in Tyler or Longview, Texas, yet?) OK, on a serious note: I'm not sure how Costco hasn't built a location in East Texas yet. They clearly don't realize how incredibly profitable it could be. I still have friends who carpool to the one in Rockwall, Texas. *Stops and pensively ponders when they'll finally come to their senses.*

Jimmy Wayne Skinner, 50, was arrested in February following a year-long investigation after law enforcement executed a narcotics search warrant of a residential compound in Gilmer. Deputies found Skinner, who was on parole at the time, inside of a shop building alongside methamphetamine, marijuana, cutting agents, loaded syringes and multiple guns, according to the Upshur County District Attorney's Office. Deputies also found a loaded 20 gauge short barrel shotgun that had been sawed off.
Tax rate may go down, but taxpayers may pay more
In the advanced mathematics of City Finance 101, increasing property values means cities and other entities can lower their tax rate and collect the same amount of revenue – or more. That doesn’t necessarily translate to a break for taxpayers. Gladewater council members are working with City Hall...
This Disgusting Crime is Happening Way Too Much in Texas
I’m tired of this uncomfortable topic not being discussed, it’s happening way too much in Texas and across the country and it needs to stop. While I admit I don’t watch the news anymore I try to stay up on news and information that applies to Texas, and it seems like this crime is popping up all the time. I am talking about teachers, aides, and administration preying on students.
