For the first time in over a decade, the Kansas football program has been picked to finish near the top of the Big 12 conference. The Preseason Big 12 Media Poll was released on Tuesday, which is voted on by media members who cover the conference. KU was picked to finish No. 4 in the Big 12 this season. The Jayhawks picked up five first-place votes. Utah was picked to win the conference with Kansas State coming in second. Oklahoma State was picked third just ahead of KU. MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State track and field teams feature 40 men and women on the Academic All-Big 12 Teams as announced by the conference on Tuesday (July 2). The 40 athletes, 14 men and 26 women, rounded up 34 First-Team honors with four Wildcats earning a 4.00 GPA-- Tim Lambert, Sydney Burton, Cecilia Fisher and Helen Giefer.
