    Mid American Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans Of America Helping veterans live independently.

    For over 40 years the Mid-America Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America priority has been to provide an opportunity for paralyzed veterans with spinal cord injuries to live life more independently. The PVAMA is dedicated to helping Veterans and their families thru the sometimes overwhelming issues veterans face by providing counseling, guidance, training, continuing education and more. The two offices located in Oklahoma City and Muskogee are responsible for the claim services.

    Mr. Bill Kokendoffer served in the US Navy and now serves as the President of the Mid-American Chapter. As part of his work in the PVAMA origainzation, Mr. Kokendoffer organizes activities, outings and fun to help veterans stay connected and active.

    There are many activities planned for the remainder of 2023.

    May 5-6, 2023 PVAMA and the National Wheelchair Pool players Association are hosting a 9-ball-double elimination on 8-foot tables at Slick Willes Pool Hall, 6808 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK. All NWPA rules will apply, entry fee is $50.00 per person.

    June 3, 2023, Car show in Mustang, Oklahoma. The car show will be at the Bronco Bowl on the corner of Highway 152 and Mustang Road from 11:00a.m.-1:30P.m.

    September 15-17th, 2023 The Annual PVA Bass Trail starts off with the PVAMA Open bass tournament on Lake Eufaula. If you have a fishing boat and love to fish volunteers are needed to take disabled anglers out for a day of fun and excitement.

    The Annual PVA Bass Trail is more than just a tournament, PVAMA Open Veteran participants will get a chance to win a Track Chair. Mr. Kokendoffer says that his track chair has taken him from being a spectator to a participant. His hope is to provide this opportunity to all veterans.
