    Kool-Aid Pie

    Kool-Aid pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert will bring back fond childhood memories of hot summers, visiting the city pool, and spending time with family and friends.

    The crust is usually made from a combination of crushed graham crackers, brown sugar, and butter, or cookies, to create a crumbly and slightly sweet crust. For added convenience you can buy a pre-made crust.

    This pie is popular for the variety of flavors and colors. There are endless combinations. Kool-Aid Pie can be easily customized with flavors and colors for a special theme or holiday. Whether you serve it plain or garnish it with fresh fruit, or whipped cream, and sprinkles, Kool-Aid Pie is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for everyone.

    I made this dessert with a graham cracker crust and cookie crust both are delicious. It’s a great way to use up some left-over cookies and can take the pie to a whole other level. Use your creativity and it will be a family favorite throughout the years.

    First how to make the crust:

    Graham cracker crust:

    1 ½ cup graham cracker crust

    ¼ cup brown sugar

    ½ stick melted butter

    Mix all ingredients and press into pie pan. Brush with a beaten egg and bake in a 350* oven for 7 minutes.

    Cookie crust:

    1 ½ cup cookie crumbs (use a blender or food processor to make the cookie crumbs)

    ¼ cup melted butter

    Mix all ingredients together and press into pie pan. Brush with beaten egg and bake in a 350* oven for 7 minutes.

    For the filling:

    1 (0.13 oz) Kool-Aid (flavor of your choice)

    1 14oz. can sweetened condensed milk.

    1 8oz. container of whipped topping.

    Using a stand mixer or hand mixer blend the Kool-Aid and milk until it is thick. Fold in the whipped topping and pour into the crust. Let the pie set up in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Slice the pie and top with whipped topping enjoy.
