FORT DODGE, Iowa — Williamsburg softball needed a pair of big catches in shallow right field to hold on for a 3A State semifinal win on Wednesday afternoon. The Raiders got just enough out of their offense to beat Dubuque Wahlert 3-2. The Raiders will play Davenport Assumption in the 3A championship game on Friday. Williamsburg won the 3A title game against Assumption last summer.

Mid-Prairie’s Davidson Named IGCA All-District
It was another record-setting spring for Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf and Madi Davidson was a big reason why. The Golden Hawk senior was recently named to the Class 2A All-Region 5 team by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. Davidson was tied for the team lead with a 48 average per nine holes and a 92 average on 18, and finished the year ranked No. 31 in the final Class 2A poll of the season from the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association.

BURLINGTON, Iowa (KWQC) - A married couple was arrested after their house burned down. They’re now facing arson and insurance fraud charges. Heather (Mougin) Dawson is charged with insurance fraud and Derek Dawson is charged with second-degree arson and insurance fraud, according to a media release from the Burlington Police Department.
