A probable cause affidavit stated on July 11, officers with the Lubbock Police Department were called to the 5700 block of 50th Street for a shots fired call. Court documents stated one of the victims flagged down an officer and said there was a woman in an apartment with a gun. The victim said the woman shot at him. While officers were setting up a perimeter, Seabrian came out of the apartment and was taken into custody.

Court documents stated Seabrian was upset with someone and wanted to get inside his apartment to get her TV. The victim told police he went inside to get it, when he heard an argument outside. The victim said he ran outside and saw Seabrian had a gun in her hand and was arguing with two other people. After a physical altercation, the victim told Seabrian to get her things and leave. According to court records, the victim said Seabrian then pointed the gun at him with her finger on the trigger.
