Man arrested in Plainview, accused of having child pornography on phone

LUBBOCK, Texas — Isaiah Ortega, 24, was arrested in Plainview by the United States Marshal Services and accused of Possession of Child Pornography Involving a Prepubescent Minor, according to federal court records obtained on Friday.

Ortega was arrested in Plainview on Wednesday, according to online jail records.

An indictment stated Ortega was accused of having “at least one image” on his phone that showed child sex abuse. The images involved a child younger than 12 years old, according to court documents.

Ortega remained at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a federal detainer as of Friday.
