‘Secure and move’ initiated for Clovis area elementary school

CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — Clovis Municipal Schools reports that an area elementary initiated a “Secure and Move,” citing concerning activity in the neighborhood around the school.

On Thursday, at around noon, Sandia Elementary School initiated a secure and move as an added security measure because of police activity in the area.

Local law enforcement issued an all-clear soon after and school resumed as normal.

CMS said during a secure and move, exterior entrances and exits are secured but movement continues within the building.
