    City of Amarillo’s Vision 2045 among Texas Planning Award Recipients

    AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The American Planning Association Texas Chapter announced today the state’s best planning projects, advocates, and communities for 2024 including the City of Amarillo’s Vision 2045 comprehensive plan.

    According to officials, the Texas Planning Awards program recognizes outstanding efforts in planning achievements and planning leadership in Texas. Officials noted that these awards represent the state’s highest planning honors with the Awards Selection Committee evaluating nominees based on originality and innovation, engagement, implementation and effectiveness, quality, and promotion of planning.

    Officials with the Texas Planning Awards Program also recognize a student project award and a Community of the Year award and recipients are listed in detail on the American Planning Association Texas Chapter website.
