Tracking a cold front and a soaking forecast

Good morning, folks!

Starting the morning with temps in the 60s to low 70s across the High Plains. One more day of temps in the 80s and 90s. Tracking cooler weather and a more active weather pattern as we approach Labor Day weekend. As of this morning, a cold front is expected to swing through the region tonight into Friday morning. This will increase moisture ahead of the system with storms in the afternoon. Then we are tracking scattered showers and storms tonight into Friday morning. Cold airmass will filter in giving us a stretch of Fall weather all the way into the middle of the next week. Keeping a close eye on our rain potential as the cold front will determine that rain potential for us as it is projected to stall across the state. Overall, Texas is forecasted to see some decent rain within the next seven days!
