    One person killed, one seriously injured in Kannapolis shooting: Police

    KANNAPOLIS, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Officials are looking for a suspect after a shooting that killed an 18-year-old and seriously hurt another person, according to Kannapolis Police.

    Around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, officers responded to the 600 block of Caribbean Court about reports of shots fired in the area.

    When they arrived, they found 18-year-old Damien Carter Senesaynho dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Officials said another victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

    No suspects are in custody and investigators believe this is an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
