Super Bowl LVIII was already memorable for the play on the field, the overtime period, and controversy at the end with some 49ers players claiming they didn't know the overtime rules.

But now we find out it made television history too.

According to CBS, the Chiefs' win over the 49ers was the most-watched television broadcast ever. A total of 123.4 million viewers tuned in for Super Bowl LVIII on all platforms total, including the Nickelodeon Slimecast and Paramout+.

CBS said they can account for 120 million of those viewers alone making it the largest audience ever by a network for a single broadcast. It also became the most streamed Super Bowl ever.

The NFL has dealt with staggering ratings all season as well as into the postseason. Just two weeks ago we saw the most-watched AFC Championship game ever when the Chiefs beat the Ravens in Baltimore for a chance to play in Sunday's Super Bowl.

And now, the game itself has become the most-watched ever. That can only be expected to increase in the coming years as streaming becomes even more popular.
