Travis Kelce Recounts Super Bowl Incident With Andy Reid: 'Wish I Took it Back'

The Kansas City Chiefs emerged victorious in the Super Bowl 25-22 over the San Francisco 49ers ...but it wasn't all smooth sailing.

Travis Kelce and the Chiefs offense were bottled up for the majority of the first half while Brock Purdy and Co. dominated proceedings. After Isiah Pacheco fumbled early in the second quarter, Kelce could be seen yelling and running into Reid, which caused the coach to be pushed off balance.

It wasn't a good look, and in the days after the Super Bowl, Kelce knows he did the wrong thing and let his emotions get the best of him.

"I immediately wish I took it back," Kelce said on The New Heights Podcast. "Coach Reid actually came right up to me after that and he just let me know, 'Hey man, I love your passion. I got cameras on me all over the place, man.' Just fired me up even more to go out there and get a (expletive) victory for him, man. Big Red, sorry if I caught you with that cheap shot, baby. But damn I love winning with you."

Much has been made of the incident between the two and while Reid and Travis have downplayed it, even the tight end's brother, Jason thought that his brother "crossed the line" with the heated exchange.

The incident has been lost in all the news of the Chiefs Super Bowl win as they claimed their third title in five seasons to stamp their authority on the NFL.

But Kelce's sideline spat with Reid certainly didn't look too good, and at least he has recognized that he could have handled it better.
