Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady? FS1's Nick Wright Knows

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes continues to add to his legend status. Mahomes and the Chiefs just won their third Super Bowl in four tries since 2019, edging on dynasty status.

On a recent episode of FS1's First Things First , the question was asked if Mahomes is more comparable to NFL legend Tom Brady or NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Host Nick Wright said there is "no comp" for the Chiefs quarterback.

"Mahomes is going to be the standard to which guys are held. He is not held to anyone's standards," Wright declared. "He is Babe Ruth. He is Wayne Gretzky. He is Tiger Woods. He is the guy that people are now going to compare others to."

Mahomes has taken Kansas City to the AFC Championship game in all six seasons that he's started. But Wright claims, all the other "greats" had "yeah, but" setbacks early on in their careers.

For example, Brady missed the playoffs completely in his third season in New England.

"Even if people don't end up calling [Mahomes] the GOAT, whenever the next great quarterback comes around, they are not going to compare his start to Brady," Wright said. "They're going to compare him to Patrick."
