Andy Reid Reveals Thoughts on Kelce/Swift Relationship

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his relationship with musician Taylor Swift have been making headlines for months as the pair seem to be happy with how things are currently going.

When it was first made official, the buzz was enormous and when Swift attended Chiefs games, naturally, all eyes and camera's were on her. That level of focus on her and Kelce would have no doubt taken some getting used to for the Chiefs star, but he took it in his stride.

Now, with the pair going strong for a couple of months, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has given his thoughts on the relationship and revealed that aside from his rookie season, he never had to tell Kelce to "reel it in" when it came to his off-field life now that he is in the spotlight.

"Yeah probably when he was a rookie but other than that I haven't had to do that," Reid said on FS1's Speak . "But listen the Taylor Swift thing was all positive there was nothing negative about that at all. I think she actually enjoyed not having to be the center of attention and being able to come to the game and be a fan.

"I've joked about this before but she went and made the offensive lineman these poptarts and she just knew kind of how to get in with the guys and that's all it took. But she's great, Travis is great, I'm happy that they're happy, that's the most important thing. Trav never lets it be a distraction that's just not how he's wired, he came to practice every day the same Trav and got after it and the games he got after it.”

So one could have forgiven Kelce for perhaps changing his ways now that he was in a relationship with the biggest music star on the planet right now, but he didn't.

He kept things the same and didn't let what was happening in his personal life change what he was doing on the football field.

While he had a "down" year numbers-wise, he still produced at a high level as the Chiefs won their third Super Bowl in five years when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime.

Being the NFL offseason now, the cameras and focus isn't as sharp on the pair as they go about their lives, but once the regular season rolls around, that will be different.

Don't expect Travis Kelce to change anything about who he is or how he approaches football as he continues to show that he could finish his career as the greatest tight end to ever play.
