Jason Sudeikis dared to ask that question about Taylor Swift to Travis Kelce

Over the weekend, actor and comedian Jason Sudeikis popped the question on everyone’s minds when sitting next to Taylor Swif t’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Travis Kelce joined Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis , along with actors Robert Smigel and George Wendt on stage as they improvised as Chicago Bears super-fans a la SNL at the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend in Kansas City, MO on Saturday, June 1. While in character during their chat, Jason turned to Travis and flatly asked when Kelce planned on asking for Taylor Swift ’s hand in marriage.

Before being put on the spot, Kelce shot down Sudeikis and Smigel’s request that the star Tight End ask his leading lady about maybe dropping a few bucks for a new football stadium. “What’s a few hundred million to Taylor? That’s what four tickets cost to her concert anyway,” Wendt joked. Kelce, answering with a laugh, simply said, “She just got to Kansas City, boys. Jesus!” Kelce laughed.

Then Sudeikis pounced with the big question: “Hey Travis, real talk OK, just the guys here,” he said lowering his glasses. “When are you going to make an honest woman out of her?” eliciting screams and applause from the audience.

“Taylor doesn’t need to be working anymore,” Sudeikis added. “I know your kicker agrees with me,” he continued, referring to his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Harrison Butker whose May 11 commencement speech at Benedictine College was widely panned as misogynistic .

Kelce just smiled through the embarrassing line of questioning without offering any solid answer or adding to the conversation at all. Smart man.

Swift and Kelce's high-profile relationship only officially began last summer , so we think the two of them have plenty more time together ahead before we start to hear about wedding bells -- but da Bears fans can dream, can't they?
