Travis Kelce's adorable nickname for Taylor Swift as he opens up on 'iconic' cameo

Kansas City Chiefs' star player, Travis Kelce, affectionately referred to Taylor Swift as a cute nickname while sharing insights about his surprise appearance during her concert in London, part of her global tour.

The NFL tight end has had an eventful off-season, marked by romantic reunions with his girlfriend at various international locations, including Dublin .

Following Swift's attendance at the Super Bowl in February, the popular Chiefs player has travelled to Sydney, Singapore and Lake Como to spend time with his sweetheart .

One of his most memorable trips was when he flew to Ireland the UK to watch Swift perform at Wembley Stadium, where he also joined her on stage for a spectacular performance. Comfortable in the spotlight, he appeared between songs as part of a special routine, dressed in a stylish suit and top hat.

He lifted Swift before gently placing her on a sofa that was part of the stage set-up, a move that was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. The KC icon recently shared his memories of the night on his New Heights podcast, admitting it was "very unlike" him to "be a ham".

"I was up there with three professionals. You can do no wrong with Taylor on stage, he continued, as he revealed his nerves during the impromptu appearance," he continued, revealing his nervousness during the unexpected appearance. He also disclosed the nickname he used for Swift during the performance, saying: "[I kept telling myself], 'Do not drop the baby. Hold onto the baby.'"

Kelce revealed that the idea for his cameo was his own, saying: "I was like, 'How fun would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989 era? She started laughing and was like 'Would you seriously be up for doing something like that? ".

He further explained his eagerness after Swift's reaction: "I was like, 'What? I would love to do that. Are you kidding me? I've seen the show enough. Might as well put me to work here'. She found the perfect part of the show to put me in. ... It was, like, the safest option."

It seems Taylor Swift is also enjoying Travis's stage presence, with body language expert Judi James commenting: "When Travis is present at Taylor's concert tour though he has so far appeared up on stage, playing to the crowds like a true acting pro, dressing in costume and showing off his thespian chops to her huge crowd, which he hailed and played to like a star. Taylor clearly loves it and she clearly loves him."

James added: "As J-Lo has found out, it's a risk when an international star marries a man who dislikes being a show-pony or having his privacy compromised."

Fortunately, Travis appears to have no issues with fame, making things smoother for Taylor. Yet, it would be nice to see him emulate her considerate approach and avoid stealing the spotlight or making jokes about her during her moments to shine.
