The Kansas City Chiefs have the best player in the league, who has now shown that he can win with one of the worst wide receiver units in the league, if not the worst. What he was able to do last year, only further submits himself as the next in line for the GOAT talk, right behind Tom Brady. And, most people already have him as the GOAT.

Going into 2024, we really don't have to worry about anything like that again. The Chiefs signed Hollywood Brown as their big free-agent acquisition and drafted Xavier Worthy. So, their wide receiver unit has the potential to be one of the better units in the AFC.

So, going into 2024, we could see the Chiefs with one of the best, young, wide receiver corps in the league, with one of the best defenses and offensive lines in the league. That's the exact way you build around your franchise quarterback.

But, some teams aren't building around theirs that way.

The New York Giants, the last few years really, have had one of the worst offensive lines and receiving corps in the league. Yet, they gave Daniel Jones a ton of money, when he can't really prove if he is worth it or not behind bad position groups like that. Now, I don't think he is worth it, but the New York Giants GM John Schoen is standing on the decision the franchise made.

And, to make things better, he used Patrick Mahomes as an example as to why Daniel Jones is so bad.

"Four core guys that we are going to play together played less than 60 snaps together, Schoen said on one of the recent episodes of Hard Knocks. "Miami we had three practice squad guys playing for us. Like, nobody can, you can have Pat Mahomes and he can't win behind that offensive line. I'm not giving up on him. He's on contract for three more years."

And, while some of that is true, it's just funny that he somewhat compares the best quarterback in the league, or maybe of all time, to a guy who is one of the worst in the league. He makes a great point, though. However, I'd like to argue that Mahomes would win more games last year than Daniel Jones did, for sure.
