Fans Comfort Travis Kelce Amid Flub on Golf Course: ‘It’s All Right, You’ve Still Got Taylor’

Fans attending this year’s American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nev., offered some amusing words of condolence for Travis Kelce after the NFL star flubbed a first tee shot on Saturday, July 13.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who has been dating pop superstar Taylor Swift for about one year , was reminded of that relationship by a fan who attempted to comfort Kelce from the sidelines.

In a video clip later shared on social media, Kelce, 34, lined up his shot before aiming his club at the golf ball. He watched the ball fly through the air and, when his swing didn’t send it where he’d planned, one fan appeared to have the perfect reaction.

“It’s all right, you’ve still got Taylor,” the fan yelled over to Kelce, causing a ripple of laughter in the crowd.

Hearing the remark, Kelce pointed to the camera tracking his movements and told the fan, “You ain’t lying there.”

“Now that man understood what was needed 🤣,” one fan laughed on X , formerly Twitter, after watching the video shared online by a Swift-Kelce fan account.

“Yeah, at least he's winning off the field!” another fan wrote of Kelce.

“They’re both just DOWN BAD 😅,” one person gushed about Kelce and Swift.

“I CAN'T WITH HIM, I LOVE THIS MAN TOO MUCH,” one person tweeted while another agreed, writing, “I love how he loves her OUT LOUD!!!”

Though Kelce and Swift have spent a lot of time together this summer despite their busy schedules, they were on different continents on Saturday, with Kelce in the U.S. and Swift in Europe for her ongoing international Eras Tour . While Kelce plays in the celebrity golf tournament this weekend, Swift is scheduled to perform both Saturday and Sunday night at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy.
