Kansas City Chiefs rookies, quarterbacks and select injured players are set to report to the team’s 2024 NFL training camp at the Missouri Western State University campus in St. Joseph, Missouri beginning Tuesday, July 16th. It marks the 14th season the organization will be heading to St. Joe for training camp.

Practices won't be open to the public until this weekend, but a select few players will get situated at training camp early on in the week. Things like physical examinations, conditioning tests, closed practices, and team meetings will all begin right away as some of the newest members of the team get acclimated to life at NFL training camp.

This a great opportunity for a player like rookie WR Xavier Worthy, who only had 1.5 practices during OTAs and mandatory minicamp after being sidelined by a minor hamstring injury . It's also going to be a good opportunity for guys like backup QB Carson Wentz to continue to get acclimated to a new system and new offense in Kansas City.

Injured players who are still rehabbing are also brought in early to go through medical evaluations. Guys like Joe Thuney, Leo Chenal, Derrick Nnadi, Jaylen Watson, and others could be among those in attendance.

What's next for the Chiefs after rookies and quarterbacks arrive at training camp?

Chiefs coach Andy Reid, QB Patrick Mahomes, and select players are expected to be made available for media interviews at approximately 1:30 p.m. CT. A few of the team’s top rookies could even be made available ahead of their first training camp practice sessions.

The team will hold three practice sessions closed to the public from Wednesday, July 17 through Friday, July 19. These practices will be open to members of the media and they'll speak with select players after each practice. The remainder of the team will report to camp on Saturday, July 20th ahead of their first practice session open to the public on Sunday, July 21.
