Travis Kelce is a three-time Super Bowl winner and the boyfriend of pop superstar Taylor Swift —but soon, he'll also gain the title of game show host, and fellow game show host Rob Lowe shared his opinion of Kelce's upcoming project.

In April, news broke that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end will host the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? spinoff titled Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? on Prime Video. Lowe shared his reaction to Kelce stepping into the entertainment realm during a recent red carpet event.

“I love that show. I love the original version," the actor and filmmaker, who hosts "The Floor," told Extra ahead of the 2024 ESPY Awards on July 11. "I think he is the perfect host for it. That show is gonna be sick."

Lowe's son, John Owen , 28, also walked the ESPYs red carpet. He told his father, “I remember growing up and watching that.”

“You were a fifth grader,” Lowe replied. “I wasn’t even smarter than him then!”

It's unclear when Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? will premiere. However, Kelce expressed how thrilled he was to be helming the show when the announcement was made in April.

“I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are you Smarter than a Celebrity? " the tight end said in a statement. "The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining."

Kelce added: "I’m just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up."
