    Four juveniles injured in crash near I-470, Blue Ridge Blvd.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people have been critically injured after a crash near Interstate I-470 and Blue Ridge Boulevard on Monday evening.

    According to Kansas City police, the driver of a blue Chevrolet Suburban was speeding southbound on Blue Ridge. The Chevrolet driver then hit a maroon Honda Ridgeline that was stopped at a red light, waiting to make a left turn on eastbound I-470 from Blue Ridge.

    After hitting the Honda, the driver of the Chevrolet continued southbound, going up over a concrete median and hitting two traffic control signals before coming to a stop, according to KCPD.

    The driver of the Honda was uninjured. A juvenile male who was sitting in an unrestrained car seat inside the Chevrolet was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet was also taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

    KCPD says three other juvenile passengers in the Chevrolet were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

    All four juveniles and the driver of the Chevy are in stable condition.

    Impairment is suspected as this incident is still under investigation.
