Patrick Mahomes is crushed over ending of Home Run Derby for Royals' Bobby Witt Jr.

    By Doug Farrar,

Patrick Mahomes is a big baseball fan. He's part-owner of the Kansas City Royals, and his father, Pat Mahomes, played Major League Baseball from 1992 through 2003 with the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates.

On Monday, Mahomes was all about the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby, as Royals infielder Bobby Witt Jr. was a participant. Witt made it to the final round before he was beaten by Teoscar Hernández of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

A disappointment for Mahomes and all Royals fans. Perhaps it will inspire Mahomes to bring another Super Bowl championship to his city.
