Five months and five days.

That’s how long it’s been since the Chiefs’ thrilling 25-22 overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. The perks of winning the Super Bowl are many, of course, but the one downside is a shortened offseason.

Once again, the Chiefs won’t be as rested as other NFL teams at the start of training camp, which opened Tuesday in St. Joseph.

That, however, doesn’t seem to be a problem for the Chiefs. The players appear ready to get the season going once again as they seek the NFL’s first-ever Super Bowl three-peat .

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared a simple message Tuesday on X: “Let’s get it!” That included a flexed muscle emoji .

Running back Isiah Pacheco showed his eagerness to get back to work in a video shared on his Instagram Story. Pacheco was working out without a shirt but while wearing a Chiefs helmet.

Oh, and this is an important detail to note: It was at midnight.
