Patrick Mahomes Issues the Cutest Apology to His Son Bronze

There comes a time in all parents’ lives when they feel the need to apologize to their kids. Maybe it’s because they raised their voice or because they cut the crusts off a sandwich “wrong” or because they were majorly embarrassing (intentionally or otherwise). Whatever the reason, an “I’m sorry” will eventually be due. And now Patrick Mahomes is feeling the need to apologize to his son Bronze.

The NFL quarterback shared a photo of Bronze from behind on his Instagram Story, and we get a perfect view of the 1-year-old’s full head of curly hair. The blond coils are so adorable and are honestly one of our favorite things about the little nugget (besides his love of vacations and epic side eye ).

But Patrick felt the need to apologize for the look. “Sorry for the hair bro,” the Super Bowl winner wrote over the photo, “runs in the family.”

He then added two laughing emojis because yup, Bronze and his 3-year-old sister Sterling — who Patrick shares with wife Brittany Mahomes — were both destined for curls. Brittany has wavy blond hair and Patrick has tight brown curls and coils that Brittany takes care of “ in her free time .”

So yeah, Sterling and Bronze had the curly odds stacked in their favor.

Brittany has spoken about how she takes care of her kids’ hair in the past, saying that she actually has a pretty simple routine for taming and amplifying their curls.

In an Instagram Q&A last year, a follower asked “Products for Sterling’s hair? Her curls are so beautiful.” Brittany was quick with the answer, saying that all it takes is water and a $6 leave-in conditioner to make Sterling’s shiny, silky curls a reality.

Eagle-eyed fans are totally convinced they know the sex of Sterling and Bronze’s little sibling. “It’s a boy,” one person said, with many agreeing based on the Ramzi Theory .

It’s a theory that claims you can predict a baby’s sex based on the placement of placenta in an ultrasound. The belief is that if it’s on the right side of the uterus — like Brittany’s ultrasound shows — the baby is most likely a boy. If it was on the left side, people might think there was a baby girl on the way.

We’ll just have to wait and see if those fans and that theory are correct. And if Patrick feels the need to say sorry again. We sure hope that by then he can see just how stunning his children’s curls are. No need to apologize, Pat! They’ll be thanking you soon enough.
