Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up for the start of training camp. This will be a crucial part of the team's offseason as they look to defend their title in 2025.

For his part, Mahomes recently revealed that he's decided to make an unprecedented move for this year's camp. For the first time ever, the three-time Super Bowl MVP has brought a television set with him to training camp.

The Chiefs superstar quarterback explained the truth behind this never-before-seen act.

"This is my first year bringing a TV," he told reporters on Tuesday. "NCAA came out and I'm gonna have to turn it on. I brought a TV for NCAA and the Olympics."

Mahomes is clearly jumping on the "College Football 25" hype train now that EA Sports has resurrected their top-rated NCAA game franchise.

The 28-year-old will also be avidly supporting the United States in the upcoming Paris Olympics, which coincides with the Chiefs' training camp schedule.

All these are going to be welcome distractions for Mahomes. The six-time Pro Bowl quarterback is going to be locked in from the get-go, and these side quests aren't going to hinder him from working to achieve his objectives on the field this coming season.
