    Motorcyclist killed in Northland crash Friday night

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is dead following a crash Friday evening between a car and motorcycle in Kansas City’s Northland.

    The crash was reported around 5:45 p.m. in the area of NE Parvin Road and N. Belmont Avenue.

    Kansas City police say the driver of the motorcycle was westbound on Parvin and the driver of the car was eastbound and was turning left onto Belmont when the motorcyclist struck the passenger front fender and was ejected from the vehicle.

    The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

    The driver of the car was not injured and not impaired, according to KCPD.

    The crash caused the roadway to be closed for two hours while crews worked the scene.

    The crash remains under investigation.
