Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany share gender video for next child as fans react

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes will have another baby girl , with the NFL couple revealing the gender of their third child to fans in a wholesome social media video.

The couple are childhood sweethearts and already have two children together; Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick, 1. In the video, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes let Sterling Skye reveal the baby's gender in a game of tic-tac-toe.

After three pink crosses confirmed the baby to be a girl , pink smoke and confetti were fired up into the air, and the family of four - soon to be five - were all smiles. "Three Mahomes babies…good luck for our Chiefs THREE-PEAT!!!" a fan replied to the video. "3 kids = 3 peat," another added.

The latest Mahomes child will arrive in a year when the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is aiming to make NFL history. Mahomes will have three children as he aims to complete a historic three-peat of Super Bowls.

The Chiefs defended the Vince Lombardi Trophy earlier this year against the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. Kansas City confirmed their Super Bowl defense with a touchdown in overtime. No team has ever won three in a row in the Super Bowl era.

Mahomes confirmed there won't be any more children after this. "I'm done, I'll say that," he told reporters from Chiefs' training camp. "I said three [children] and I'm done. No, it's awesome. I always wanted to have kids young.

"I got to grow up in the locker room [with his dad, professional baseball player Patrick Mahomes Sr.], I think I've talked about it before, and it made such an impact in my life. And so, I wanted to have kids young, and were having a third kid now to join our family. And Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life, and let our kids see these great things."

"I spend so much time in the building, at football for these seven, eight months. And whenever I'm with my family I wanna enjoy those moments," Mahomes added. The news came after the Mahomes' took a trip to Europe.

Pat and Brittany were spotted at Wimbledon, where the latter looked far from impressed at some points during the match. They then jetted to Amsterdam to join Travis Kelce at his girlfriend Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour."

The NFL superstar then showed up alone at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Mahomes is an investor in the French team Alpine alongside his Chiefs teammate Kelce. However, Alpine suffered a disaster that weekend with Pierre Gasly's race ending before it could even get started.
