The Kansas City Chiefs are the Thanos of the NFL. They are the taxes that all 31 other teams must pay. They are as certain as the sun rising in the morning.

Very few things could keep the Chiefs from hoisting their third straight Lombardi trophy in February, but CBS NFL analyst Jared Dubin identified one thing that could - their left tackle situation.

“For Kansas City, it's a question of whether second-round pick Kingsley Suamataia can play right away or if they'll have to go with Wanya Morris on Patrick Mahomes' blind side,” Dubin wrote.

The Chiefs still have the arguably the best interior offensive line in football with Joe Thuney, Creed Humphrey, and Trey Smith at left guard, center, and right guard respectively. This is the most up in the air their left tackle spot has been in quite some time. Even last season when they brought in Jawaan Taylor and there were questions about that move, at least they had a veteran who was solid in pass protection. Morris played 340 offensive snaps last year for Kansas City, and started four games. He allowed two sacks and seven hurries, per PFF.

The best way to beat the Chiefs is to get pressure on Mahomes by sending only four rushers. If the left tackle position is suspect, that plays into the hand of the rest of the league.
