    KCPD investigating homicide after man killed in Northland

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are investigating after a man was killed in the Northland on Friday.

    On Friday, around 4 p.m., officers were called to the 3400 block of Cleveland Ave. on a reported stolen vehicle.

    Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim near NE 34th Street and NE Choteau Trafficway. The man was in a vehicle and appeared to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

    He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

    On Saturday, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Detectives are still investigating who was involved and what led up to the shooting.

    The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Anthony R. Brown.
