Taylor Swift has been showered with extravagant presents from her NFL boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as he takes a break from the gridiron to prepare for the upcoming season.
Kelce, who spent most of his summer accompanying Swift on her "Eras Tour", which is selling out shows left and right, decided to splurge in Milan. The Kansas City Chiefs star shelled out an impressive $75,000 on high-end designer pieces for his world-famous girlfriend.
According to The Sun , Kelce embarked on a lavish shopping spree, selecting 14 items from luxury labels such as Prada, Valentino, Bottega Veneta, and Fendi.
Due to a scheduling conflict with a golf tournament involving his brother Jason, Kelce couldn't join Swift for her Milan gigs, but he made up for it by spoiling her with luxury goodies.
He presented her with a variety of dresses, shoes, and other accessories as a parting gift before rejoining the Chiefs on July 21. Although he did accompany Swift on her travels through Germany and the UK, their time together will now be limited due to the impending NFL season.
A source told The Sun that Kelce is fully aware of Taylor's fondness for top Italian fashion houses, prompting him to spoil her one last time before they take a break from each other.
"Travis knows Taylor loves these brands," the insider revealed. "He wants her to have a true Italian touch in her closet. Travis loves Valentino, both for him and Taylor."
Kelce and Swift, the lovebirds, have been practically joined at the hip this summer, marking their longest continuous time together since their romance ignited during the previous NFL season.
However, as summer wanes, so does their shared time, with Kelce due to return to the grindstone on 21st July for compulsory training ahead of the forthcoming NFL preseason. If the Chiefs make a dash for the Super Bowl for a third year in a row, Kelce will be fully committed until at least February.
Swift's "Eras Tour" concludes on 8th December, which coincides perfectly for her to support Kelce through the latter part of the regular season and possibly into the playoffs, with the Chiefs widely expected to make another postseason appearance.
Amid the buzz, there's talk about whether Kelce's game might suffer due to his high-profile relationship, but Chiefs' head coach Andy Reid has complete faith in his tight end's professionalism.
"I'm okay with it, as long as they're ready to go," Reid remarked to the media, addressing worries over how Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes' off-field lives could impact their game. Reid did, however, issue a gentle warning to Kelce, suggesting he'll know if the star isn't performing at his best.
"Training camp is kind of that proving ground. If you're not ready to go, it's going to be obvious quickly," Reid informed reporters. "Just from whether it's a conditioning test or the long drive drills that we do. Those things that are, you're going to find out who's in and who's not in and who's put their time."
