Travis Kelce Dishes on His Favorite Form of Potato in Callback to Viral Moment

Travis Kelce knows how to stick to a bit—more importantly, he knows how he likes his potatoes.

In a clip uploaded to the official TikTok page of the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this week, each member of the team shared their favorite way to eat the starchy root vegetable as they walked by the camera, and the three-time Super Bowl champ was no exception.

Some players chose pretty popular sides and entrées as their favorite–like Truman Jones and Jaaron Hayek , who say they best enjoy them as baked potatoes and fries, respectively–while others, namely the tight end, got a bit more creative with their response. Still, it's nothing we haven't heard already.

As he passed the camera, Kelce, 34, confidently looked into the lens as he revealed "Gnocchi" to be his favorite form of potatoes–a fact that his most loyal fans probably could have guessed, given the specifics of the now-viral statement he made during the 2023 football season.

Last fall, Kelce won over fans with his "priorities," as he was caught on a hot mic asking a member of his coaching staff to call his mom, Donna Kelce , with a dinner request.

"Can you call my mother for me from that phone right there?" Kelce was heard saying in game day footage from November 2023 . "Can you call my mother and tell her that I don't want the macaroni and cheese with the regular noodles."

"I want the gnocchi," he said at the time.

Some fans have somehow found a way to make both instances of Kelce voicing his preference for the Italian potato dumplings about his girlfriend, Taylor Swift , with many suggesting that the pop superstar–who is known to enjoy cooking and baking –probably makes " a really good " version of the dish.

Others are ready to give the football pro a nickname inspired by his love for the hearty meal. "Travis 'call my mom and tell her Gnocchi,'" one joked.

Someone else shared a nod to another viral moment involving the tight end and his gnocchi, writing, "I’m old enough to remember when Kelce was calling it ganachi."

"The Travis and gnocchi lore is growing 😂😂," a third added.
