Kansas City Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy isn't the only rookie pass-catcher notching highlight-reel plays at training camp.

With Worthy absent the past three days of practice due to strep throat, it has been fourth-round draft pick Jared Wiley who has impressed while working with the first-team offense. During Wednesday's practice, in particular, he notched what was easily the best play of practice during 11-on-11 team drills against the first-team offense.

Lining up detached on the right side of the formation, Wiley was matched up in coverage against Drue Tranquill one-on-one. Patrick Mahomes uncorked a deep shot down the right sideline to Wiley, who hauled in an impressive one-handed grab just past the opposing 20-yard line.

Our friend Tucker Franklin at KC Sports Network caught a decent angle of the play.

Wiley was able to pull the ball into his body and make the catch as Tranquill pushed him to the ground. He used all of that 6-foot-6 and 250-pound frame to pull this one in. What's perhaps most impressive is the fact that Tranquill is largely regarded as the Chiefs' top linebacker in pass coverage. Wiley made quick work of his coverage and even on a ball that wasn't perfectly dropped in the bucket, he was able to haul it in.

Chiefs veteran TE Travis Kelce watched this play from the sidelines. If the crowd reaction wasn't enough to sell you on Wiley, Kelce running down the field to celebrate with Wiley tells you just how impressive the play really was. Wiley has often spelled Kelce on the field with the first-team offense, as well as lined up in 12-personnel looks with the first-team offense along with Kelce during the early goings of training camp practices. He's also seen some work with the second-team offense at times, but it feels like his workload with the first-team is increasing with each passing day.

It's no wonder that Wiley is making plays when you consider the mentality he's bringing to every day of training camp . If the rookie can keep up these types of plays when the pads come on this Friday, watch out.
