KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The first day of school is just weeks away for students in the Kansas City area and so is a due date to get their required vaccines.

According to the Mid-America Regional Council , Free or low-cost vaccines are now available, and parents are encouraged to make appointments or visit a walk-in clinic now to avoid the long wait times that typically occur every August.
