If Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is bothered at all by the trash talking Kermit the Frog video from the Las Vegas Raiders this week, he tried not to show it.

Mahomes received questions from the media Friday about whether the video will motivate him against the Raiders this season. Mahomes didn't overreact to his rival's trash talking but added that it will "get handled"

"It's still early in the year, stuff like that happens," Mahomes told reporters in his press conference. "It'll get handled when it gets handled."

Mahomes added that his inner circle was not really upset about the video either.

"Everybody kind of just lets me play," Mahomes said. "They know how I am, so they don't need to send me anything to keep me motivated."

Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams wrote a fan at the Raiders' training camp practice Thursday had a Kermit the Frog puppet wearing a Mahomes' jersey and wig. Raiders players saw the puppet and participated in mocking Mahomes.

Raiders safety Trey Taylor put the puppet on his hand and said, "I'm a b****." There was a lot of laughter in the background presumably from other players, who also repeatedly said, "I'm here."

That phrase was a reference to Mahomes' trash talking toward the Raiders in a 2022 contest.

The Raiders defeated Mahomes and the Chiefs in their latest meeting on Christmas Day. But as ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III noted, Mahomes is 10-2 in his career against the Raiders.

The Raiders haven't finished in front of the Chiefs in the AFC West standings since 2012.
