Skyy Moore could earn unique role with Kansas City Chiefs in 2024

The Kansas City Chiefs have been searching for a wide receiving corp that is worthy of their future Hall of Fame quarterback. Pat Mahomes has done well making chicken salad out of excrement but the team wants more for him.

That plan started back in 2022 when they drafted Skyy Moore following a strong week in Mobile at the Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine. He hasn’t been able to find his footing, but there is a chance he could do it in a role other than wide receiver that helps the team.

Looking at Skyy Moore’s combine results , he is a proven speedster. Players with his skillset are going to have a new world to look at this year as the NFL looks to implement changes to the kickoff, which is favorable to players who have a microwave ability to heat up fast.

Moore’s 40-yard dash time of 4.41 and 10-yard split of 1.46 confirm that he can make things happen when he gets the ball in space. While we haven’t seen what the kickoff rule will do for teams, it makes sense they start by giving their fastest players a chance. For the Chiefs, they have shown they can trust him in big moments, perhaps none bigger than the new kickoff rules.
