Patrick Mahomes' dominance over the last few years has been unparalleled. The Kansas City Chiefs star has consistently been the best player in the league. It takes a lot of work and dedication to get to that point.

New Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown learned that about Mahomes pretty quickly. Brown was inspired by Mahomes' work ethic and how he takes care of himself. As a result, the wide receiver made an important decision.

In an interview with the Kansas City Star, Brown revealed that he asked Patrick Mahomes' long-time trainer Bobby Stroupe for the QB's workouts.

“I saw greatness in Pat,” Brown said. “I see greatness for myself. So I had to create my own regimen and stay on top of things.”

Brown said that part of the reason why he asked for Stroupe's help is due to his injury history. There's a reason why the Chiefs were able to acquire him for cheap: Brown has an extensive injury list from his days in Baltimore up until his last season with the Cardinals.

Mahomes, meanwhile, has barely seen the injury list in his career. While he's had a few injuries here and there, he's never had any chronic injuries. Brown hopes that working with Pat will help him get over his injury issues.

A former first-round pick of the Ravens, Brown is hoping to show that he's still got the talent that got him picked high in the draft. His best season was his last year with the Ravens. Playing in all but one game, Brown tallied 1,000 receiving yards on 91 catches with six touchdowns.
