Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift engagement hint dropped as NFL star 'asks for blessing'

Travis Kelce is reportedly expected to propose to Taylor Swift in the near future, having reportedly asked for her father's blessing.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and pop superstar have now been in a relationship for around a year, with the two spending most of their time together when their schedule allows it. Rumors that the two could become engaged have been floated around for several months, with their relationship blossoming almost immediately after making their first public appearance together last September.

And even just a few months in to their relationship, Page Six had reported that Kelce had already asked for Taylor's father for his blessing to propose to her. Now, Page Six has reported that the two are expected to get engaged very soon.

Swift had attended 13 NFL games this past season, following Kelce to support him around the country - as well as flying 13-hours from Tokyo to pause her tour to see him win the Super Bowl.

Kelce has returned the favor, seeing Swift take to the stage in Argentina, Australia, France and England while on her Eras tour. But in recent weeks, the two have spent an extended period apart from each other while Swift continues her tour in Europe while Kelce has returned to the Chiefs' facility for training camp to begin.

Swift is said to be returning to Kansas City after he European leg of her tour is finished later this month, where she spent much time in the 2023 season with Kelce.

And around the end of the 2023 NFL season, it was reported Kelce had spoken to Scott Swift to request his permission to ask Taylor for her hand in marriage. “Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring," a source is reported to have told Page Six.

Kelce was alongside Scott in the VIP tent during a show in Argentina, with Taylor's father wearing Chiefs gear at the Super Bowl in Travis' suite - despite being a beloved Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Travis recently signed an extension to remain with the Chiefs for two more seasons, putting to bed any rumors or suggestions that he could be retiring after the 2024 season. Kelce will compete to be apart of the first NFL team to win three consecutive Super Bowl's this upcoming year.
