Kansas City Chiefs veteran WR thinks their unit could be one of the best in the NFL

The Kansas City Chiefs made a conscious effort to improve their wide receiver unit during offseason.

In 2023 the Chiefs' receivers led the NFL in drops, lacked speed and only a couple had any real chemistry with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. This led to bringing in veteran Hollywood Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy, both of whom have plenty of speed and already seem to be on the same page as Mahomes.

The Chiefs have a few veteran receivers returning from last year, one of which being third-year man Skyy Moore. At the conclusion of Sunday's training camp practice, Moore spoke to the media and gave his thoughts on the revamped receiver room and how it compares to last year's group.

"We're stacked," Moore said. "We got we got everything you want in the receiver room. I feel like yeah, I think we got one of the best receiver rooms in the league. Hopefully we get the same result (as last year) and we'll go win the Super Bowl. But I would just say the room is a whole different. It's different type of players now, like I don't even know how to explain it. So much talent in our room, you know, it's just, I'm excited to get rolling for the season."

With the additions of Brown and Worthy and Rashee Rice entering his second season, it's hard to imagine the Chiefs' WR corps not being significantly improved . Mahomes has shown to have excellent chemistry with all three of those guys, especially on deep passes.

Justin Watson is a trusty veteran who will have a role and young guys such as Justyn Ross and Nikko Remigio could make an impact. As for Moore, he's fighting hard for a roster spot after a majorly disappointing 2023 campaign.

Many believed the former second-round draft pick would be one of K.C.'s top receivers, but he only caught 21 passes on the season as he fell to the bottom of the depth chart.

It's going to take a very productive preseason for Moore to make the team this year and he also may need to show that he can make an impact on special teams as well.
