    Little Rock’s Catholic High School honors veteran graduates with statue

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A special day at Catholic High School as graduates who also served in the military were honored.

    The school unveiled a statue on Monday as a tribute to veterans and fallen heroes.

    All of it was made possible thanks to a more than $7,000 donation from students involved with the school’s Junior ROTC program.

    Those who served say it’s more than just an honor for them, it also speaks to the young students at the school.

    “Seeing a modern soldier in combat uniform will give them the reality of what it takes to defend our country against enemies foreign and domestic,” Andy Rossi, who graduated in 1967, said. “And they may be called upon as volunteers to do that and it brings that reality home to them.”

    Catholic High School has a history of supporting the military and encouraging its students to serve their country.

    The school has had a Junior ROTC program since 1967.
