New Baptist Health clinic opens in growing east side of North Little Rock

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – People living in North Little Rock and the surrounding areas have another place to go for medical care.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday to celebrate the opening of the Baptist Health Family Clinic – Rose City. The clinic provides services ranging from illness treatments, women’s health and mental health.

This is the first full-service clinic in the eastern part of North Little Rock since their last medical office burned back in 2013 and is a partnership between Baptist Health and the city of North Little Rock.

“So before this clinic was here, the other option was across the highway, and there many individuals of the community that had transportation issues. So it would be a little bit difficult for them to get ta clinic,” Dr. Jessica Udeogu explained. “So having this here its walkable for many in the area and it’s easy access to care.”

In a statement, North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick noted the importance of local clinics and stressed the importance of this new venture to the continued growth of the city’s east side.

“Baptist Health continues to provide quality health care and we are pleased they have partnered with our city in creating this health clinic for our residents,” Hartwick said in the release. “The east part of North Little Rock is the fastest growing part of our city. We have three new factories, new homes, and are excited for this clinic to support our growth. The location of this clinic is vital for North Little Rock.”

The new clinic is located on East Washington Avenue near the Shotgun Dan’s Pizza and will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
