Crime in the 21st century needs a 21st century police response. Because of our ability to track an iPhone left in this mother’s car, the NYPD was able to find her missing baby and vehicle within minutes of the crime occurring and safely apprehend the perpetrator of this crime. We’ve all been there where we left our car running and ran into the store for a few seconds. We’re all humans—we make mistakes—but this case is a prime example of why seconds matter.
