Most people coming to this great country come for the right reason: to seek a better life for them and their families. Yet there’s a small group of people coming here because they’re running away from the crimes they committed abroad, or are coming here to create new victims and drive up crime in our city. I don’t have words for what these courageous kids had to endure: heinous acts no child should ever be subjected to.
