New Yorkers deserve to walk the sidewalks of the city without having to deal with illegal vendors selling counterfeit goods on our streets. The community reached out to the NYPD regarding 14th street in the East Village, and we responded by removing the illegal activity. Not only have we increased our officers patrolling that area, we’re using technology to keep an eye on things. We’ve set up cameras to monitor the situation. This isn’t a temporary fix, this is permanent.
