    Crofton Community School District holding informational meeting on $12.5M bond

    CROFTON, Neb. (KCAU) — The Crofton Community School District will be holding an open house to tell people about a $12.5 million school bond and upcoming construction projects.

    There will be a bond levy of 16 cents per $100 of valuation for a 20-year bond. This would equate to $160 per year on $100,000 of property and about $4.32 to 5.81 per acre per year on irrigated farmland.

    Local Nebraska high school wrestlers set to compete for state championships

    According to a release, the school bond would be used to make several renovations. That includes entrance security for the high school and elementary school, removal of elementary classrooms, and building new classrooms.

    The open house is set to begin Monday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m. at the Crofton Elementary School. It will be open until 8 p.m.

    The election will take place by mail ballot an ballots must be received before March 12.
