SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Many of our local soccer teams are gearing up toward the end of their seasons, but there’s a new team in town just days away from making its premier in the NPSL. The league’s newest squad is Siouxland United FC.

The team has been putting the finishing touches on its preparation ahead of its season opener this weekend. Boasting a unit full of players with big game experience and at the helm of it is former professional player Robbie Carroll.

A roster full of players from across the nation coming together for a common goal, all while sticking to the Siouxland United brand of soccer.

“We’re going to play our way and they’re going to adapt to us. We’ve got the talent, we’ve got the drive. Obviously it’s soccer, the any given Sunday rule does apply, but I think we have the talent. If we get the tactics right and the drive right on the day, I don’t see a problem.” Siouxland United FC head coach Robbie Carroll.

The club’s first match is on the road against Duluth FC on Saturday, May 18th at 7 p.m. while the team’s home debut will be on May 25th at Memorial Field.
