    Power restored in Siouxland

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — UPDATE (2:40 p.m.): Power has been almost entirely restored in Siouxland.

    According to the outage map, there are only about 10 customers in Siouxland still without power.

    The total number of customers without power in Iowa continues to slowly decline with just over 10,000 customers without power statewide.

    PREVIOUS (1:57 p.m.): As of 1:57 p.m., the MidAmerican Energy outage map is showing 13,089 Iowans are still without power.

    In Siouxland, approximately 126 homes are still without power, most of which are in Ida County.

    Many in the Des Moines and Fort Dodge regions are still without power with 7,334 and 4,757 in their respective areas.

    PREVIOUS (8:00 a.m.): The number of Siouxlanders without power is now around 300.

    According to MidAmerican’s map, most of the customers in Monona County have had their power restored, though many in Ida County are still without power.

    In Des Moines, there are approximately 18.186 customers still without power.

    PREVIOUS: Many Iowans are without power Friday morning after another bout of storms tore through Iowa.

    According to the MidAmerican Energy outage map , more than 30,000 Iowa MidAmerican customers are currently without power.

    MRHD gives $600,000 to local organizations

    Just over 500 of these customers are in the Siouxland area. The Siouxland outages appear to mostly be affecting areas near Battle Creek and in Ida County as well as near Mapleton and in Monona County.

    MidAmerican says they have crews working to restore power to these customers but has not provided a time that they expect power to be restored.

    The Des Moines metro area is seeing the highest number of customers without power totalling 24,325 customers without power as of 7:20 a.m.

    Many customers in Council Bluffs, Fort Dodge, and Waterloo are also without power.
