UPDATE: Power restored in Morningside area

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — UPDATE: As of 9:15 p.m., the power outage has been addressed and power has been restored to the Morningside area, according to MidAmerican Energy’s outage map.

Over 1,000 people are currently without power in Sioux City Thursday night.

According to MidAmerican Energy , as of 8:55 p.m., a power outage is affecting 1,081 people in the Morningside area. 1,102 people are without power in Sioux City overall.

The issue is not expected to be resolved until around 10:30 p.m.
