SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Despite coming off a 1-8 season, the Siouxland Christian Eagles program continues moving in the right direction.

Formerly playing as a co-op with Whiting, the Siouxland Christian football team has seen tremendous growth from the last couple of years. The Bielenberg duo of Judah and Bram teamed uo for 2,175 total yards and 26 touchdowns. Siouxland Chrsitian will have big shoes to fill on both sides of the ball, looking for production to replace leading tackler and receiver Jed Bielenberg. His 75 tackles ranked third in all of 8-Player football.

Valuing the connections the game of football brings, the Eagles are cherishing another chance to play together.

“The experience we have is crazy. We lost three guys from last year. Just playing as a team, playing for the goal as a team for fun. It’s not all about winning all the time, but it is to have fun. I think playing as a team as we do it’s enjoyable playing with these guys and I love playing with them, too.” Siouxland Christian QB/LB Judah Bielenberg said.

The Eagles open the season one week from today with a road game at G-T/R-A on Friday, August 30th at 7 p.m.
